  • The Coach Dream It Real x Coachtopia Scholarship, a collaboration between Coach Foundation, Coachtopia, and Millennium Campus Network (MCN), is an initiative designed to empower undergraduate student leaders from historically underrepresented communities. These scholars are deeply committed to advancing sustainability and circularity, particularly within the fashion industry.

  • In its inaugural year, The Coach Dream It Real x Coachtopia Scholarship will select a cohort of 10 exceptional individuals who will receive comprehensive support, including financial assistance, mentorship, and opportunities to amplify their voices and impact on a global scale.

  • The scholarship seeks to drive meaningful progress in the areas of sustainability and circularity.  It aims to do so by addressing critical gaps in funding, education, and community-building, thereby empowering the next generation of sustainability and circularity leaders - particularly in fashion.

  • This is the pilot of the scholarship and it will run from August 2024 through June 2025.

  • The Coach Dream It Real x Coachtopia Scholarship will provide training in sustainability, circularity, and leadership. It will include workshops, webinars, and access to industry experts. Mentorship opportunities will likely involve pairing scholars with professionals in the field.

  • The Coach Dream It Real x Coachtopia Scholarship provides a gap scholarship that covers the remaining educational expenses after all financial aid has been distributed by the scholar's academic institution. This ensures that the financial burden of pursuing an undergraduate degree is significantly alleviated. The exact amount varies for each scholar based on their individual financial needs.

Program Details

  • The Coach Dream It Real x Coachtopia Scholarship is open to all undergraduate students worldwide who have applied to the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2024 application, regardless of their field of study, who have a demonstrated passion for sustainability and/or circularity, particularly as it applies to the fashion industry. Preference will be given to students in their junior or senior years.

    Applicants must be at least 18 years old by August 15th, 2024, and currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. Priority will be given to students in their junior or senior years.

  • The Coach Dream It Real x Coachtopia Scholarship does not have a specific minimum GPA requirement.

  • The deadline to apply is Monday, July 29, 2024, with early applications strongly encouraged.

Eligibility & Application

  • Yes, the scholarship is designed to foster collaboration among scholars. The program will include structured opportunities for scholars to work together on joint projects,  and develop innovative solutions to challenges in sustainability and circularity.

  • Yes, Scholars will be added to a community of alumni where they will receive further supports and mentorship.

Community & Impact

  • Scholars will be selected based on their passion for sustainability and circularity, financial need, and demonstrated leadership potential.

  • To ensure equitable access to the program, applicants must demonstrate financial need. This is determined through a comprehensive review of each applicant's financial circumstances. Shortlisted applicants may be contacted to provide more information and documentation on education expenses and financial need.

  • Ideal applicants will have a fervent interest in circularity and/or sustainability, with a particular focus on their applications within the fashion industry. This passion should be evident in their academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, or personal projects.

  • Scholars will receive holistic support tailored to their individual needs and aspirations. This includes financial scholarships to alleviate educational costs, specialized training in sustainability and circularity, mentorship from industry leaders, and a vibrant community platform to connect with fellow scholars and amplify their voices on a global stage.

MCN programs convene, challenge, and celebrate student leadership for social impact.   • Coachtopia is a Coach sub-brand dedicated to circular craft and collaborative creativity, catalyzing the brand's progress towards a fully circular business model. Through its Made Circular™ design philosophy, Coachtopia reimagines the product lifecycle from end to beginning—reducing the creation of new materials by crafting with waste and designing products that can be reimagined, remade and recycled to live multiple lives. Through our partnership with Coachtopia, scholars will have the opportunity to learn about pioneering new models for circularity through the unique lens and expertise Coachtopia provides.

  • Yes, if selected, you will be a Millennium Fellow and a Scholar and you will be participating in the programs concurrently.
