Dr. Toluwalashe Soyemi is a social impact consultant and grant writer passionate about youth development as well as democratizing healthcare access and services to under-resourced locations. He has close to a decade experience working with young people in various capacities all round Africa. His journey in the impact space was further accelerated when he was selected as a Campus Director and Millennium Campus Fellow in 2018. Over time, he has engaged with MCN with her orientation programs and other interviews. He is currently the Program Coordinator at MCN, to support the transformational work of the MCN team and facilitate a life-changing experience for thousands of selected Millennium Fellows across 35+ nations.
Dr. Tolu has served in various capacities focused on providing financial opportunities to young people’s impact projects, startups and other areas of direct mentorship and coaching. He has served as a Judge for the prestigious Diana Award, Hultprize Competetition Judge, Reviewer for MIT-SOLVE Youth innovation Challenge, Innovation Reviewer for Grand Challenges Canada, Application Reader for Mandela Washington Fellowship and Peer Support Mentor + Country Ambassador for PeaceFirst.
Dr. Tolu believes in the power of collective action of young people and seeks to bridge the gap between potential and performance for people. He has been opportune to represent young people in global platforms like UNLEASH Innovation Lab at INDIA, Youth United Nations General Assembly (YOUNGA), Advisory Board Member for Born This Way Foundation (owned by popular celebrity-Lady Gaga) and many more platforms. He has also been recognized as a Diana Award Recipient (highest social impact accolade), 50 most Influential Leaders in Lagos State, 2021 YEF Young Global Changemakers Award (Rising Impact Category) and many others.
