Taiwo Olawehinmi, Program Coordinator

Taiwo Olawehinmi is a pharmacist and social impact leader, passionate about healthcare access and investments in Africa. She was one of the two Nigerians selected for the West African Young Leaders (WayLead) Fellowship in 2020, in recognition of her leadership potential and passion for Africa. She was selected as a Millennium Campus Fellow in 2018. She also served on the MCN Global Admissions Committee in 2019. She is excited to serve as Program Coordinator at MCN, to support the transformational work of the MCN team and facilitate a life-changing experience for the 3,000+ extraordinary Millennium Fellows who have been selected across 35+ nations.

Taiwo is committed to ethical leadership and she believes in the power of young people to drive change across the world. Her interest in policymaking enabled her to chair diverse committees in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences within and outside Africa. She is a member of the Policy, Advocacy and Research committee of the Commonwealth Youth Health Network (CYHN). She is also a Correspondent at YourCommonwealth, a youth blog supported by the Commonwealth Youth Programme.

Thanks to her passion for healthcare, Taiwo currently works with Advantage Health Africa where she's building pharma management expertise and empowering community pharmacies to strengthen their processes, improve performance and advance patient care. She is the co-founder of Pharma Incubation Hub, a career accelerator for Nigerian pharmacy undergraduates, poised to groom them to be exceptional pharmacists who will positively transform the future of healthcare and contribute effectively to universal healthcare coverage.
