NAFIS HASHMI,
Marketing Manager
Nafis Hashmi is a Business graduate from Bangladesh University of Professionals. A native of Dhaka, born and bred, he completed his SSC from Ideal School and College, and his HSC from Notre Dame College. He is an active knowledge seeker, dedicating his life to excelling in creative and logical fields. His journey in life has allowed him to learn enough skills to be inspired toward social entrepreneurship. Now his goal is to create a social impact in the country and inspire people toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
He has a plethora of experiences in different disciplines, the recent one being sales as he served as a Territory Officer for Banglalink Digital, an MNC and the leading Telecommunication company in Bangladesh. He is also experienced in writing, design, and videography, finding a passion in the creative fields.
As an entrepreneur, he is one of the founders of Agápe, a brand that promotes sustainable fashion for the modern-day Consumer. He is also a founder of Scribespace, a creative marketing agency, serving various SMEs with his marketing consultancy services. His 3-month tenure as an intern for YYventures has exposed him to many social businesses that have further increased his knowledge and passion for the SDGs. Nafis also devoted his time as the General Secretary for BUP Finance Society, a university club that excels in providing undergraduates with knowledge of business, focusing primarily on Finance and Economics.
Being selected for the Millennium Fellowship program by the Millennium Campus Network, was a matter of great opportunity for Nafis as this allowed him to hone his leadership skills, gather more knowledge to create social impact, and increase his network on a global scale. The project he worked on for MCN was Agápe, and as mentioned above, his goal is to promote sustainable fashion and reduce the impact of textile waste on the carbon footprint within 2 years.
Nafis Hashmi believes that within the coming years the number of youth social entrepreneurs will increase substantially, leading the world to a more sustainable journey that will ultimately lead to healing.
